The MG Story

Sosheel Samuel founded MG Advisory in June 2020 after experiencing the benefits of fractional arrangements for both himself and the companies contracting him. He found great fulfillment in delivering unencumbered support to teams that don’t have the bandwidth to produce. As a hired-gun, Sosh could serve as a resource to Sr. Executives and VPs bogged down by bureaucracy in major global corporations.

With many experienced, executive-level resources in his network, Sosh saw the opportunity to share their expertise with reduced risk and at a lower rate than hiring or contracting them. This established MG's Consulting Advisory Practice.

Later in 2020, Sosheel brought on Aaron (AJ) Rose as his business partner.

MG expanded its services in 2021 to include a wealth of offshore talent. Thanks to MG’s connections in Pakistan, Canada, the UAE, Portugal, and Russia, we offer access to a highly skilled, experienced, and well-vetted Global Delivery Team with very compelling cost structures. This Elastic Talent Pool is designed for companies that need quick and flexible access to talent to execute quickly, despite needs that change month-to-month.

In 2023, with AJ’s support, MG acquired majority ownership of POPin, an enterprise engagement platform designed to gather input and surface insights from employees, customers, or stakeholders—especially when leadership needs aligned execution or buy-in around initiatives, priorities, or change efforts.

The MG Partners

Sosheel Samuel

Sosheel Samuel is the Managing Partner and majority owner of MG Advisory, a firm built around the belief that smart, experienced execution shouldn’t be locked behind legacy hiring structures. He is a seasoned Fractional Executive and Advisor with roots in telecommunications, data centers, value-added resellers (VARs), system integrators, and enterprise services.

Sosheel began his career in 1998 at Time Warner in an entry-level call center role, steadily rising through the ranks into technology leadership. By 2008, he had earned the title of Vice President, leading large-scale technology delivery and operations initiatives. In 2014, after a 16-year run, he made an exit from the company ahead of its acquisition—choosing to apply his experience to faster-moving, more entrepreneurial environments.

He went on to serve as Vice President at POPin, where he helped enterprises drive engagement and alignment through crowdsolving. Sosheel then explored fractional executive roles before taking on a VP of Services position at a high-growth tech company. There, he led efforts to modernize delivery using elastic resource models and supported a corporate development initiative aimed at a potential SPAC/IPO transaction. When the strategic direction shifted, Sosheel decided it was the right time to chart a new path.

Since founding MG Advisory in 2020, Sosheel has helped public and PE-backed companies reclaim time and accelerate outcomes by delivering fractional strategic operators, global delivery capacity, and platforms like POPin. In a full-circle moment, MG Advisory later acquired POPin—bringing Sosheel’s journey with the platform from operator to owner.

Originally from Denver, he recharges with snowboarding, golf, yoga, and the occasional surf session. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his partner.

Aaron (AJ) Rose

AJ is a Partner at MG Advisory, where he leads account management across all practice areas and operates the firm’s POPin business. As a key member of the leadership team, AJ plays a hands-on role in managing client relationships, overseeing renewals, and supporting delivery alignment across engagements.

Since joining MG in 2021, AJ has become a trusted point of contact for clients and internal teams alike. In addition to his client-facing work, he helps guide firm operations and contributes to strategic decisions as a minority partner.

Prior to MG, AJ spent 16 years at Encore in San Diego, where he rose to the role of Senior Sales Manager. His background in sales leadership and client success enables him to bring both structure and relationship depth to MG’s engagements.

Originally from Denver, AJ has called San Diego home for the past 18 years. He enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and has a deep love for collecting and listening to music on vinyl.
